I made this shirt with almost no overall direction. I was thinking a lot about some brands I’ve been seeing in catch the limelight a bit in ways I don’t totally agree with. I’m not here to name names but lately I find a lot of designers using references as an excuse to jack prices through the ceiling. I made this shirt out of two of the same shirt, one dyed an uneven orange and the other totally blank. I wanted a double neckline with the white showing through but I didn’t want to trash the whole blank shirt just for the sake of the effect. I tried it one once it had both layers and realized it felt like two shirts without the uncomfortable part of them sitting uneven and weird. From there I added some completely pointless hand stitches with a little silver thingy (that’s honestly the best I can describe it). My hope for this garment is that whoever it ends up with finds some purpose in the garment that I have not seen yet. I have a few ideas of how it could be styled uniquely, but I’ll keep them to myself, it’s your shirt at the end of the day. [Fits like a medium]
